Hee-Sung Kim has practiced the culinary arts in many venues and cultural flavors. In 2008, he completed courses at both the Dong Won Cooking Academy Institute and the Tsuji Academy Cooking & Confectionery Vocational School, while simultaneously earning the title of Japanese Food Academy Culinary Specialist at the Sam Sung Culinary Arts Institute. He then moved on to the Sookmyung Women’s University, where he became certified for both Oriental Medicinal Cuisine and Korean Traditional Rice Cake and Cookie coursework by the Korean Food Institute in 2010. He took basic sake training from the Seoul Sake School that same year. In 2011, he got his degree in Italian cooking from the International School of Italian Cuisine and his Barista training at the EK Barista School. Today, he brings these years of diligent study and rich culinary tradition to you at the K-Ton Japanese Restaurant.
